Our client faced several significant challenges in revamping their e-commerce platform. Their vision of launching a dedicated transactional store in the UK posed technical hurdles. Furthermore, they needed a seamless integration with core backend systems like Salesforce CRM, logistics, and SAP. To complicate matters, a security breach on their existing WooCommerce website forced its shutdown. This created an urgent need for a reliable e-commerce platform that could launch an international site quickly. Additionally, they wanted to cater to multiple markets, including France and Germany.

The solution

VISEO embarked on transforming the client’s e-commerce landscape. We expertly managed the migration to Shopify, ensuring a smooth transition while leveraging Shopify+ for enhanced performance and scalability. We connected backend systems through BOOMI, enabling efficient data exchange between various platforms.

The collaboration resulted in multiple achievements. VISEO led the scoping, consulting, and solution design phases, crafting an e-commerce site tailored to our client’s needs. The platform featured a highly customized design, age gate verification, interactive tasting notes with graphs, and a “Reveal Your Recipe” feature.

Additionally, we integrated advanced functionalities like gift messaging, store pickup options, and tour booking for warehouse tastings and guided distillery tours. These enhancements enriched the customer experience. Through Shopify Markets, internationalization was seamless, enabling our client to serve global markets effortlessly. The integration of BOOMI connected six brands with Salesforce CRM, logistics, and SAP, facilitating seamless data flow. Moreover, PIM integration optimized product management, ensuring consistency across all channels.

The outcome

Thanks to VISEO’s expertise and the client’s vision, the project was a resounding success. The new Shopify-powered platform launched in key markets, including the UK, France, and Germany.
