Job description

We are seeking a Security Specialist to work and manage security tools, processes, and best practices across the organisation. This is a hands-on role that spans multiple areas of cybersecurity, requiring technical expertise, adaptability, and a proactive mindset. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our infrastructure, applications, and data while enabling secure innovation in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identity & Access Management: Manage identities, SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle in Microsoft Entra. Admin role governance and privileged access management.
  • Endpoint & Device Security: Configure and maintain Intune policies for device hardening, software deployment, patching, and web content filtering.
  • Manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and O365 security configurations.
  • Data Protection & Compliance: Implement and maintain labeling and DLP policies in Microsoft Purview.
  • Network Security: Manage VPN solutions and secure remote access.
  • Vulnerability Management: Oversee vulnerability scanning, prioritisation, and remediation processes.
  • Secure Development Lifecycle (SSDL): Integrate scanning tools into the development lifecycle (SAST, DAST, dependency checks).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritise and resolve findings.
  • Cloud Security: Implement CSPM solutions and monitor cloud environments for security risks.
  • Security Tool Deployment: Deploy and integrate new security tools such as WAF, SIEM, BAS, and DAST solutions.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts or workflows to automate security tasks and improve efficiency.

Profile

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent diploma
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Required: Strong experience with Microsoft Entra and Intune.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft security ecosystem (Defender, Purview).
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices and tools.
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python) or workflow automation tools.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.
