How did we revolutionise heart monitoring through Mobile Technology?
Project Context
Our client partnered with a hardware provider to develop heart monitors that connect to mobile phones. They collaborated with VISEO to build an initial proof of concept that displayed heart monitor data on mobile devices. After several months of testing, the client returned to VISEO. This time, they wanted a formal design process and full application development to transform the idea into a comprehensive, patient-centered mobile app.
Project Execution
The VISEO Design Team started by auditing the existing proof of concept and presenting the results to stakeholders. They then launched a condensed design sprint. During this process, both teams identified key user groups, including patients and doctors, and mapped out their journeys within the app.
Next, the design team created a high-fidelity prototype. Though accessing heart patients for testing posed challenges, our client involved doctors who would also use the app. To gather feedback, VISEO’s Design Lead traveled with a client stakeholder to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur for in-person testing with doctors. This feedback led to several design revisions to refine the app further.
After final testing rounds, including virtual sessions with doctors, the design team received approval from both medical professionals and stakeholders. VISEO’s Development Team then built native versions of the app for iOS and Android.
Outcome
The result was a fully functional mobile app that connects seamlessly to heart monitor hardware, providing real-time health data. Doctors now monitor patients remotely with ease, while patients gain greater control over their heart health, resulting in a more connected healthcare experience.
